Getting Around Phoenix

As one of the most active airports in Arizona and the United States, transportation around Phoenix Airport, PHX has had significant alterations to help make passenger travel more convenient. The sky train bridge project was enacted to make it simple for passengers to get between the East Economy Parking location,terminal four and the Metro Light Rail. The bridge is the first of its kind to allow airplane-taxi service underneath this 100-foot high transportation portal.

Even with the sky train bridge, passengers with destination in Phoenix or beyond the PHX airport have plenty of convenient choices in parking, food, and shops. Besides the East Economy Parking location there is also the West Economy Parking lot, as well. The transportation around Phoenix Airport, PHX also has two free cell phone lots that allow drivers to wait for passengers for up to 30 minutes within their vehicles.

The cell phone waiting lots are keyed for every airport phone number available, and the lots have a combined total of about 90 parking slots. One of these lots is located to the west of Terminal 2, while the other is located to the east of Terminal 4. The airport also has special-needs parking spaces that are located within each garage and near bus stops.

Terminal 2 carries passengers with tickets from Alaska, Continental, Great Lakes, and United/TED. Terminal 3 has passenger access to airlines like AirTran, Delta Air, American, Frontier, and Hawaiian Airlines. Terminal 3 also carries passenger that need to board Midwest, Sun Country and JetBlue Airlines. AeroMexico, Air Canada, British Airways, Southwest Airlines, US Airways and WestJet are located within Terminal 4 of the Phoenix Airport, PHX.

Level one of the airport is the baggage claim area, while level two has the ticket counter locations. Level three of the Phoenix Airport, PHX has all of the airline gates, eateries and convenient shops. Sky Harbor offers Travelers Aid Services for passengers in emergency situations, which is located within the Airport Interfaith Chapel. There is also a lost and found service within the airport. Passengers will experience a variety of art work throughout the airport, and there is an art museum where passengers can view more than 500 collected works from Arizona’s past.
